<P><FONT size=2>A few questions regarding the news excerpt below:<BR>Does anyone know the location of this particular new "premium luxury township"?<BR>Who will be the potential buyers?<BR>Some of the recent projects in Oman seem to aim at foreign buyers. I have also heard it rumoured that some of the properties near Bandar Jissa have been purchased by Russian investors. Do these intend to settle there or is this merely a financial investment, perhaps even a speculation, based on the expectation of rising real estate prices? - Regards, Joachim<BR><BR>-----<BR><BR>OHI Group and ETA star properties sign deal <BR>Source: Khaleej Times, 7 September, 2008<BR><BR>Oman-based OHI Group on Saturday signed a deal with ETA Star Properties of Dubai to launch a premium luxury township in the Sultanate.<BR><BR>This will be a multipurpose project with residential apartments, offices and retail spaces, blending luxurious living with high levels of convenience, officials said.<BR><BR>The proposed launch of the project is end October. "The property market in the GCC is growing at breakneck speed and Oman is fast catching up with this upswing," Abid Junaid, Executive Director, ETA Star Properties, said, adding: "We believe it is an opportune time for us to enter Oman and this joint venture with the OHI group is part of our vision of building confidence, trust and credibility in all our projects in the real estate market place."<BR><BR>"We are confident that this project will not only be a landmark in Oman but will also reinforce Oman’s potential of becoming a significant international destination.” Maqbool Hameed Al Saleh, Chairman, OHI Group said. "We are extremely pleased to partner with ETA Star properties as we see strong synergies with the group due to their legacy of excellence and long-standing expertise in the real estate industry.
