[Oman-L] Oman's oil exports down 10% in Jan-Apr 2007 compared to 2006

Oman's crude exports drop 10 pc

Oman's crude exports dropped by 10 per cent in the
first four months of the year to 74.6 million barrels
from 82.9 million barrels in the corresponding period
of 2006, according to new statistics released by the
ministry of national economy.

Production of oil and condensates was 85.7 mb,
compared with 91 mb, a 5.8 per cent fall. Average
daily output was 714,200 barrels against 758,200
barrels.

During the period under review, the average price for
Omani oil declined by 5.10 per cent - from $ 59.93 to
$ 56.89 per barrel.

China was the Sultanate's top market, importing 32.9
mb, followed by Thailand (12.3 mb) and Japan (9 mb).
