Dr. Hamrin-Dahl,
I hope you are doing well.
As we happened to share the same interest, the history and uniqueness of
Abadhism- in a sense- I would like to propse the rather limited ideas and
experience in this country -though relatively long- with you.
I am a lecturer in ESL/EFL and Applied Linguistics. I have been living here
for about ten years. I started having interest in Abadhism since my fourth
year here. I read a number of books and knew that my home village (in
Tunisia) was historically part of an Abadhist state. The idea was not
strangefor me since I first stepped in Oman and started understanding the
people's religious and social behaviour.
A dear friend, a historian in fact, is also doing a piece of research on
the history of some Abadhi tribes in North Africa.
I will be gald if this is enough to sparkle a discussion on the topic.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Sami
