[Oman-L] Seeking ideas for investment and living in Oman

Assalamu alaikum all.

I recently visited Muscat as a tourist and fell in love with the place. I
decided that I would like to establish some sort of business there as I
would like to have a second home in Muscat.
I am an Egyptian entrepreneur with investments and experience in the fields
of hotels, luxury yachting and fast food restaurants.
I joined this group to see if anyone can offer helpful suggestions or
proposals. All input is appreciated. In particular, I imagine the following
might be particularly useful:

1. Suggestions for business ideas (in my fields of expertise or related
fields) from people who have been living in Oman and know the market.
2. Proposals for cooperation from like-minded investors, Omani or other.
3. Accounts of positive or negative experiences from foreigners who have
invested in Oman. My first impression, and one of the reasons I find Oman so
attractive, is that Omanis are very welcoming and seem to be straightforward
people.
