I can't remember a particular website on "famous
sites" (whatever that may mean), but there are indeed
many sites with beautiful photos from Oman such as

www.myoman.com (already mentioned)
www.toedt.net/sultanat.htm
www.oman.de/poster.htm

If in doubt about copyright, it's advisable to contact
