[Oman-L] Female circumcision in Oman

Hi all,


There was an article in the local Arabic tabloid "Futoon - first issue" 
which discussed the same issue, and according to the article and to the 
girls who were interviewed and actually had FGM, FGM is still practiced in 
Oman, it's not very common, but yes unfortunately some families in the 
remote parts of Oman still believe in it.As an Omani, I'm very disturbed to 
know that FGM does exist in Oman.   Good luck in your research.
