Greetings to all.
One might query the Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman for any data about that subject, ditto querying local hospitals and social services organisations in Oman.
When I was last in Oman (albeit in the northwest and the border town of al-Bureimy), I asked several (mostly expat) physicians, nurses and (Omani) midwives, and none of them had heard of any practice of FGM among the patient populations they service.
Seems doubtful that an anthropologist would include that subject as a topic of inquiry in a fieldwork project for ethnographic research.
As another poster mentioned, FGM seems addressed occasionally as an obsession-inducing subject among foreign non-medical observers.
Hope this helps provide some light and balance.
Regards,
